Illinois born and raised, I grew up filling one sketch book after another. My innate ability to see shape and detail, and my persistent curiosity of natural processes motivated me to pursue a career where science and art connect. Inspired by my work with data and cartography, I am drawn to organized chaos, patterns in nature, intricate details, and gatherings of both human, plant and animal alike. My paintings tend to reflect what catches my eye on everyday walks, or a familiar scene stretched into something more idyllic, like a moment in a dream.
I live in San Francisco with my partner and dog, among friends and redwood trees, with views to the pacific ocean.
