ABOUT

Illinois born and raised, I grew up wandering through prairies under big grey skies, filling one sketch book after another. My innate ability to see shape and detail, and my persistent curiosity of natural processes motivated me to pursue a career where science and art connect. I stay curious in creating familiar compositions inspired by life nearby. My paintings tend to reflect the natural world, as common as something you may see in your garden, or stretched into something more idyllic, like a moment in a dream.
I live in San Francisco with my partner and dog among friends and redwood trees with views to the pacific ocean. In my free time I enjoy floating in the ocean, listening to podcasts, trying new recipes and of course, making art.
